Downtown offers diverse housing options ranging from spacious apartment buildings to duplexes and single detached homes with primarily one- and two-bedroom layouts. The neighborhood features convenient access to various businesses, including restaurants and cafes, allowing for many daily errands to be completed nearby. Its reasonably extensive cycling infrastructure facilitates easy commuting for bike users. Public transportation is available through approximately 10 bus lines with bus stops located throughout the area. Parking is generally convenient, and highways can be reached quickly by car. Educational institutions at both primary and secondary levels are accessible within short distances, enhancing overall neighborhood convenience.

Downtown is a great neighborhood for those who enjoy indoor activities. Even though the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this part of the city with its around 20 bars, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located very close by. This area is a fairly good neighborhood for those who don't mind some noise, as during busy hours, traffic can occasionally be bothersome, although there are still several quieter pockets.
